Our BirthingWomen of Hope was birthed in 2008 under the leadership of Pastor Cherie Silas and her husband of 16 years, Anthony. Pastor Cherie entered into ministry in 1999 after the birth of her last child when the Lord supernaturally healed her of Rheumatoid Arthritis which rampaged her entire body and then placed a call on her life to preach and teach the Good News! After being called of the Lord, Cherie served the local church in many capacities learning all areas of church ministry. She studied at Liberty University in order to prepare for what the Lord had shown her was the path her life and ministry would take. However, it was under the mentorship of Pastor Randy Millet of Adullam Christian Fellowship in Arabi, Louisiana that Cherie learned how to pastor. She served at Adullam until Hurricane Katrina overturned everything she knew and loved in 2005. Anthony and Cherie moved to Red Oak, Texas in 2006 when Cherie's secular job relocated them in the aftermath of Katrina. They became members of Empowering Word Christian Center. Cherie was ordained by Empowering Word Church under Pastors Duane and Jill Thompson and she and Anthony served there until 2008 when the Lord spoke to them to move out into ministry. Women of Hope was birthed through that move. Today, Cherie and Anthony are blessed to be submitted to Covenant Family Fellowship in Ferris, Texas where they serve as Mid Life Pastors for ages 30-60 under Pastors Lee and Laurie Martin. Pastor Cherie is also ordained by and a member of the World Ministry Fellowship of Plano, TX. Women of Hope Christian Ministries in an independent ministry which seeks to serve the body of Christ through mentoring, training, and empowering them with both practical and Biblical training.
